Tips for your workout and gym music
- Match song tempo to the exercise. Fast songs suit sprints and slow songs suit stretching.
- Put the hardest songs at the point in the workout where you slow down.
- Use headphones in a public gym. Use a speaker only in a private space or a class.
- Keep each song short. Songs under four minutes fit interval timing.
- Review the list for explicit words if you run a class with mixed ages.
Let guests vote instead of playing DJ
In a group class or with workout partners, Jukebox lets everyone vote for the next song. Join by QR code, vote and request songs from your own phone. Use it for a run club, a home gym session or a backyard bootcamp.
Here is how it works. The host starts a session from Apple Music. Guests join by 6-digit code, QR code or by being nearby. They vote on songs, request their own and vote to skip. The most-voted song plays next. Guests need no account, and only the host needs Apple Music.

Can workout partners vote on songs?
Yes. In Jukebox, partners join by QR or code, then request songs and vote on the queue.
